Great food, really a treat that we weren't expecting with the quality and prices. The service was fantastic as well, and the giant pretzel can't be beat. Our burgers were a bit too saucy, but that can be forgiven over being too dry. My nachos were fantastic and so topping-heavy I couldn't quit eating them. We are outside on the sidewalk tables and enjoyed the people watching with our pooch. We'll be back!

What a cool spot! Check ahead for the schedule and then visit on Saturday nights for amazing live music. Get sarsaparilla or craft beer and check out the menu. I had the pleasure of listening to a fantastic bluegrass band called Honey Run and if they are playing, you need to go to Jack Doulas Saloon!

Fun saloon with a great atmosphere. Food is phenomenal! Way better than expected. Walked by and smelt the aroma coming out of the window and followed my nose into the saloon, like Yogi Bear wod have done. My uncle and I got the HoT Pastrami Sandwich and the Beef Dipper. We had a half of each, couldn't decide which one was best. Got some terrific hot coffee too. Was too full to get some Sarsparilla. Great service too.

Small neighborhood bar with a lot of friendly people. We had a nice time last night. They had a very good group playing last night.

Took my son to Columbia for a dad and son trip and we spent the night. We went into Jack Douglass twice the first day. Their cherry soda and sarsaparilla are delicious!! They also have great beer on draft. Staff is super friendly as well as the owners!! They had live music on Saturday night and they were really good. They stayed open later than most places in Columbia as well. Fun time!

Our friends played a show here this past Friday and everything from the lighting, the sound, the crowd, the decor, and overall ambiance was perfect. Absolutely perfect. It was my first time at the Jack Douglass Saloon and I had such a wondrous time. There's a warm yellow light that dances around this place and it softens everything and makes you want to pull out a chair (I loved that even their bar stools had backs on them) and just bask in the familiarity of this place. We'd been sitting all day - so we took advantage of the back area, grabbed some waters, and raced straight to the dancing part. The old wooden floors connected with our stomps with glee and we all beamed as our feet moved to the soulful music. There was no cover and the crowd couldn't have been happier or more friendly. Everyone was there to enjoy each other and the band. The bartender rocked a stylish hat and a wide grin and she was exceptionally helpful and attentive to all patrons throughout the evening. My favorite part of the Jack Douglass Saloon is the decor. Each corner of the space is full of character, charm, and history. In between sets - my eyes would excitedly scan the room - admiring all the magical accents throughout the space. From old photographs, to signs, to old charms and more - The Jack Douglass Saloon is brimming with visual transporting delights. It was first established in 1857 and continues to remain a local favorite. 1857! Can you imagine the rich legacy of music that has crooned through those doors! I have to give Jack Douglass Saloon a 10/10 for location and and feel, but take one point away because their food really isn't too great. The saloon has a bar, and also offers house made old fashioned cherry soda and sassafras's. Their sodas come in 3 different sizes, and are such a treat. They're Friendly for all ages- my grandpa used to always take us here as kids. And, When we were here, an elderly gentleman was playing the piano and providing entertainment. They offer a small menu of sandwiches and Nachos. We ordered a Nachos to share. You don't expect gourmet food in a place like this, but I feel like adding a few fresher components could really help them out.
